The Game of Tennis

Life should be learnt with a game of Tennis.

When you serve the ball to the other side , you are throwing a Challenge to the other person. When the ball is returned back by the other person, the Challenge is returned back to you as a fresh Challange for you to respond. If you take that , you are converting your Challenge to the Opportunity that has knocked your door and you may succeed in that provided if you hit the right target. If you miss the opportunity , you will loose that particular point , but again you have a chance to serve. But the thing is ,if you hit on right target more than your opponnent you have a chance of winning the game
.

One should know , how to throw a Challenge , how to face a Challenge, how to convert the Opportunity in to Success, how to hit the right target , to succeed in life

Best Place to Read a Person's Mind...

As I stay very nearer to the Airport, many a times I had to go to the airport to pick up my freinds/relatives . Normally I check the flight arrival timings before I start to airport, but on a recent occassion , I went to the airport without checking the arrival timings. On reaching the airport , I found that the flight is arriving late by 30 mts and I decided to stay back rather than going back to house and coming back. Though the flight came exactly as per the announcement , my freinds came out after one hour due to customs and imigration clearence.

This two to two and half hours was a real treat for me to study the human mind. Mind me , I was waiting at the International Airport and not at the Domestic Airport.

I started observing the people standing and waiting for their guests to arrive.

Interesting Observations:

  1. Depending on the number of luggages , the reception varies to the guest.
  2. If the traveller is bringing lot of luggage , then the entire gang rush towards him and every one tries to hug him / her , give a bouquet etc.
  3. If the traveller is bringing very little luggage (might be handbaggage only) the guests stay at their place to receive the traveller and they don't go forward to receive him.
  4. I could hear friends saying, "hey, this time he / she will be bringing me this , that etc.."
  5. I could also hear some of the family members saying," last time he /she didn't got things for ....., and I hope this time he/ she makes ammends for that.
  6. I could see wives and kids waiting for their husbands and fathers with great expectation, and the moment they see them , I could see a literal reunion and true transformation of love and affection with both the husband & wife or a father and kid getting exited with the reunion and the emotional mercury goes to a high level. But here also I felt , the reunion and the emotion takes a back stage after a little while and then the expectations start. Wifes mind going into what kind of sarees or jwells her hubby would have bought for her and the kids expecting what sort of toys their father would have got for them.
  7. The last one really moved me. I saw a old age men & women (parents) standing next to me for about one hour , waiting patiently and all through the time they were talking about their son , daughter in law and kids and they were worrying for the kids as they felt they will be feeling very hungry and they didn't even sit for a while. They had brought some food for their Son and his family. They were talking to them how their son would be looking in the Childhood , how he would be ,etc., etc. The moment they sighted their son and his family, I could see tears rolling out from their eyes and I would term it as a perfect rebonding and the hug they gave to their son / daughter in law and the kids were truly from their heart and it was much more longer than what I have seen with a friend / a relative / wife / boy / girl.
I learnt a lesson through this : The whole world moves fast , "Change" is the talk of the time, Expect for the Unexpected is the mantra now a days. When the whole world is moving fast , when the whole world is changing with times, where every one have some expectations or other in this world, it is the Mother and the Father , who never changes their profile, mind, attitude and doesn't have any expectations other than the true love and concern for their kids.
